New Artist Collective

Country:

City:

The group is for any practicing artist using the medium of Photography. We aim to develop a group of artists who will meet monthly for discussions, feedback, presentations, or gallery visits. Emerging and established artists can meet in order to share ideas. Please note that is NOT a commercial photography group where you’ll learn to use your camera, shoot with models, street photography, etc but rather a space where you’ll be able to receive feedback and get inspired by discussions. Think about Photographer’s Gallery, Tate, British Journal of Photography, Wolfgang Tillmans, Nan Goldin, etc

Become A Music Teacher

The Become a Music Teacher Training Courses have been specially designed to help musicians make the most of their teaching skills. They won’t tell you what to teach, but it will help you make the best of the resources that you use in your teaching thus improving your standing in the marketplace and helping you to attract more pupils.

The Foundation Modules Are:

  • Ready to teach
  • Helping pupils understanding the Elements of Music
  • Warm Ups and Starter Activities
  • Timing and Structure of Lessons
  • Lesson Planning and Schemes of Work

The Intermediate Modules Are:

  • Objectives and Outcomes
  • Lesson Structure
  • Lesson Plans
  • Schemes of Work
  • Details of Teaching

The Advanced Modules Are:

  • Advanced Objectives and Outcomes
  • Advanced Lessons Structure
  • Advanced Lesson Plans
  • Advanced Schemes of Work
  • Details of Teaching
  • Pupil Profiling and Self Assessment

You can take as long as you wish to go through each course but a good guide would be to aim to complete one module a week. Once you have successfully completed the foundation course you can upgrade to the intermediate and advanced courses for an extra £100 per course or purchase all three for just £500. When you have successfully completed all the tasks for the modules you will be awarded with a certificate of completion for that course.

Sailing Residencies with Sail Britain

Share

Country:

Sail Britain is a unique project exploring the British coastline through research, the creative arts and engagement with communities. We explore the sea and the coastline from multidisciplinary viewpoints, highlighting the cultural importance of our relationship with the ocean and the connection between ecological issues and society.

We are inviting participants from all fields to join our programme, learning to sail and exploring themes such as sustainability, climate change and marine plastic pollution. We believe in the benefits of cross disciplinary collaboration between science and the arts and working in the hands on environment of a sailing boat.

Opportunities in May and June include working alongside a microplastics research team from Exeter University as artist in residence.
