The Bath Open Art Prize 2021

Open to visual artists working in any medium, an eclectic and exciting mix of high level submissions are received. The prize welcomes works in all genres including painting, print, photography, 3D and video, small site specific installations can also be considered. Developed as part of Fringe Arts Bath (FaB), the Bath Open Art Prize is now in its 9th year. Alongside the established traditions the prize welcomes more idiosyncratic and whimsical works that reflect FaB’s open approach.

Call-out to Artists - 18 exhibitions - #FaB19 Festival

Inviting Artists and Creatives from across the globe to respond to 18 exhibition and event proposals by early career curators. These will come together as the Fringe Arts Bath 2019 Festival programme, a 17 day free festival of contemporary visual arts.
Submission is free and deadline is 17 March 2019 for all exhibitions.

Artists/makers/creatives/performers needed.

Be a part of an immersive experience, experimental installation and performance exploring layers of confusion and belonging through sound, light and objects.

I am a MA performance design student at the University of Leeds, and I am currently working in collaboration with Jonathan Parker (hoppla creative and Inkwell arts) on an extension of a piece developed in Germany whilst on an artist residency. The piece is story, and originally an object and promenade performance, I am developing it into a sound installation with interactive live elements.

To avoid processing delay submissions are viewed on a continuous basis. Artists are encouraged to submit early. All submissions must be made online via the online submissions platform. This can be accessed here from the 2nd January 2019.

About the Prize

Call for Artists - A5 Portfolio #23 (February 2019)

A5 magazine wants to try and shine a light on some of the amazing artists working today. We are now taking entries for the February edition of the zine.

Brief: send us a large digital image of your work. Also send us any information you think is relevant. Any text needs to be kept brief as we get hundreds of submissions.

Deadline: 5th February 2019

Rising Stars 2019

Rising Stars is a curated, national platform to foster and champion students and recent graduates from BA and MA crafts, design and applied arts programmes across the UK. Rising Stars aims to offer new makers their first step into the market place, through a curated, selling exhibition.

The programme will consist of the Rising Stars exhibition at New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham, that enables new makers to access the market place and collectors; professional development including knowledge transfer and skills exchange, a national symposium; and a catalogue to act as a promotional tool for the selected makers.
