REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR A LANDMARK SCULPTURE AT COVINGTON CENTRAL RIVERFRONT

The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center (Carnegie) and The Center for Great Neighborhoods (CGN) seek proposals for a new landmark public art installation to anchor Covington’s newest development, a 500-million-dollar mixed-use project in the heart of the downtown riverfront area. The Covington Central Riverfront (CCR) site, a 23 acre site that was once home to an IRS processing facility, is being transformed into a neighborhood with a restored street grid, office, residential, retail, and public spaces.

Calling All Artists | Group Exhibition “When Time Lingers In The Air” at A Space Gallery

Meditation is not just a state of stillness; it is an exercise of awareness, a deep experience of the present. It allows individuals to withdraw from complex reality and re-examine themselves, the world, and existence itself with a more open mind. In the process of meditation, time is no longer, linear but rather flowing and reshaped; space is no longer fixed, but perceptible and shapeable.

Call for Art: The Good Neighbor

Description of Exhibition:

This exhibition explores the essence of community through a collective portrait of the people who shape our everyday life - our neighbors (whether next-door neighbors, studio neighbors, or those in your close proximity with whom you regularly interact). Inspired by the Czech proverb, “A good neighbor increases the value of your property”,the show considers how neighbors enrich our daily lives, fostering connection, feelings of support, and trust.
