Open Call Details
Short Series
• A short film is a dance-related film 3:00 minute or less.
• Films deliver a clear story/idea that maximizes imagination and creativity in 3:00 minutes or less.
• Films are made to view on devices.
• The kNOwBOX dance Short Series (NBSS) Selected short films will be screened on @knowboxdance social media accounts for a limited time in early August 2023 and on special devices as part of the NBFF 2023 Festival lineup.
• Complimentary submission waiver available to artists under the age under 18.

Augusta Savage Grant

The Augusta Savage Grant is an unrestricted prize of $2,500 awarded annually for Excellence in Sculpture. To be awarded to a talented emerging sculptor who self-identifies as Black or African American. Applicants must be citizens of or residents in the United States with a social security number. Works inspired by nature are preferred.

Hudson Valley Art Association 90th annual juried

HVAA holds an annual exhibition of oils, aqua media, pastels, graphics and sculpture in the exhibition galleries of invitational associations. The show is open to non-members as well as members. Awards totaling more than $15,000 are given for meritorious works.

FREE FILM : NYC Photographer in Residence

WORTHLESSSTUDIOS is pleased to announce the fourth iteration of its FREE FILM project: FREE FILM : NYC, which will travel throughout New York City. The project follows FREE FILM : CANAL, FREE FILM : USA and FREE FILM : JUNE 2020, a series of initiatives that sought to catalog our communities, our country and our world over the past three years in radically different ways, while democratizing the documentation of our ever-shifting realities. FREE FILM : NYC kicks off 2023 by turning towards WORTHLESSSTUDIOS’ home city of New York to uncover a new truth about the old topic of community.

Open Call for 2 Solo Exhibition Proposals for April and June

The Aerogramme Center's Virtual Viewing Room provides a platform for emerging artists to exhibit their artwork. Artists also have the opportunity to be featured in our Behind the Studio event where artists give a short artist talk, studio tour while answering rapid fire questions, and Q&A with viewers.
