Open Wide! Juried 2-D Exhibition

Open Wide! is the inaugural juried exhibition for the brand new, Minneapolis-based online gallery, 119 North Weatherly. Eligibility is open to artists around the world age 18 and older. This is an online-only exhibition, so there is no need to ship the artwork unless it sells. Because of software constraints in the virtual gallery, we are only accepting submissions from 2-D artists at this time (painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, mixed media, etc.). No video or 3-D submissions, please. Artists may submit up to three images for a fee of $10 each ($30 max). All accepted submissions will be promoted in the online gallery, on the 119 North Weatherly website, and on all social media channels for the gallery.

Founded in 1974, PLEIADES is an artist run gallery maintained by its officers and members. The Officers: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer & Assistant Treasurer are elected annually by the members. The gallery’s policy allows each member artist to assume an equal share of responsibilities in a collegial and professional environment.Located in Chelsea, New York City, PLEIADES GALLERY is one of the oldest and most successful artist run galleries in Manhattan.

BLACK & WHITE "STREETS"

The paths we walk daily, we call them streets. We built this world from scratch, into the magnificent masterpiece that it is now. The towering cities with their sky scrapers, blinding lights and bustling pedestrians. The little towns with bagel shops and Sunday church services where people know each other. The outer villages, with the
prosperous fields, the grazing sheep trotting their hoof-paved paths, and tractors growling along on small, one lane roads. Urban, suburban, rural, you name it… These landscapes fill our daily lives, minds and hearts. Now, discover a whole new world, and make it BLACK and WHITE!
