The BARTR artist-in-residence program invites participants working across a diverse range of fields to Budapest for 11 weeks. The program is held annually and hosts 10–15 international residents at one time.
The program is uniquely characterized by an open, decentralized structure that emphasizes cultural exchange and collaboration. Workshops, shared studio spaces, and events held with other Budapest-based initiatives are some of the ways we encourage an atmosphere of working together.
Visiting residents are supported with contacts and introductions should you wish to get in touch with any individual or organization within BARTR’s network, or otherwise based in Budapest.
