Villa Filanda Antonini (VFA) Announces VFA Open Call 2024 for Artist Residency Supported by Culture Moves Europe.

Villorba, Italy - April 2, 2024 - Villa Filanda Antonini is excited to announce the VFA Open Call 2024, offering a unique opportunity for European artists to immerse themselves in a multidisciplinary artist residency experience at the striking setting of the Former Spinning Mill of Lancenigo. This initiative is supported by the not-for-profit Arper Feltrin Foundation and funded entirely by the Culture Moves Europe program, an initiative promoted by the European Union and implemented by the Goethe-Institut.

"Open Theme” - FREE Entry, $1,000 Award Competition

Introducing the 2nd "Open Theme”, international competition and online exhibition. This competition is open to artists of all ages internationally with no restrictions on media or style. The theme for this competition is “Open”; participants are free to create and submit artworks based on any subject matter or theme of their choice. only artists whose work is selected as finalists must pay the $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their work exhibited online and move on to the final round of Jurying in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000.  

Festival of the Arts

Call for Entries:

This popular and well-attended festival will feature 50+ artist booths, food and wine, music and entertainment. The festival is presented by Healdsburg Center of the Arts in partnership with the City of Healdsburg’s Community Services Department. Accepted media will include painting (oil, acrylic, watercolor), works on paper (drawing, pastel, printmaking) photography, glass, jewelry, ceramics, sculpture, textile/fiber, wood, mixed media (collage, assemblage).

Our art call for the art exhibition Women encourages artists to explore and express the multifaceted aspects of womanhood. From personal narratives to collective experiences, we invite you to delve into the depth and richness of the feminine perspective.

This theme provides a platform to celebrate empowerment, resilience, and the myriad of roles women play in society.

Wayne Art Center CraftForms 2024

Wayne Art Center is seeking submissions for the 29th International Juried Exhibition of Contemporary Fine Craft, in the following mediums: basketry, ceramics, fiber, furniture, glass, jewelry, metal, mixed media, paper, wearable art, and wood. Work created utilizing CAD/CAM technologies and 3D printing tools also is eligible. Selected works will be on display in the Davenport Gallery of Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pennsylvania from December 7, 2024 through January 25, 2025. This year’s juror, Jo Lauria, will present $10,000 in prize awards.

Domestic Affairs: 9th Annual Juried Exhibition

Susquehanna Art Museum’s 9th annual juried exhibition invites artists to submit works that explore subjects relating to the domestic. In a time when social, political, and familial norms are being revealed and renegotiated on an international scale, the term ‘domestic’ relates to a wide range of topics.

Submitted works may include but are not limited to the following subject matter: the architecture or design of homes, neighborhoods, and cities; domestic labor; gender and social roles; domestic and foreign policies; domesticity; boundaries and borders; indigeneity; political and interpersonal relations; and domestication.
