North of the 45th: 17th Annual Upper Midwest Juried Exhibition

North of the 45th is an annual juried exhibition of artists living in the geographical area

north of the 45th parallel in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The 2024 exhibition

will be juried by Shawn Powell and Annie Wischmeyer based in Kent, Ohio. Powell is an

artist, associate professor, and the graduate coordinator at Kent State University. Wischmeyer is a

curator, writer, and curatorial consultant for Curated Storefront in Akron, Ohio. Together they run Gazebo

Gallery bringing in artists from around the country to stage ephemeral outdoor exhibitions.

 

Eligibility: Open to residents of Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin,

18+ who are living north of the 45th parallel with up to +/- 1 degree of this area.

 

ReFashion Show

Applications open for sustainable fashion and accessory designers

The ReFashion Show is looking for designers who create unique and eco-friendly pieces using reclaimed materials to showcase to the greater Washington, DC community and beyond.

WHY APPLY?

Show off your work on the runway, sell it to the crowd and join a Q&A panel. You'll also get featured in the Trash to Treasure Movement's Slow Fashion ezine, which is distributed worldwide after Earth Day.

#sophiespostcard 2024

#sophiespostcard has now raised over £82k for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in the memory of former pupil Sophie.

Can you help us reach our fundraising target of £100k by donating your original postcard artwork. The fourth auction will run during the summer of 2024, with the final days of the auction to be held on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June 2024. Artwork Deadline 24th May 2024.

#sophiespostcard is in memory of former pupil, Sophie Maria Taylor, who was cared for by The Royal Marsden but lost her life to cancer on 5th April 2017. All money raised goes directly to the charity and the project is entirely run by volunteers who are staff and friends of St Richard’s Catholic College.
