The Whitaker: Open Call for Artists

The Whitaker are inviting submissions for exhibition and commission opportunities for artists for our Visual Arts Programme for 2023 – 2025.

Submission Deadline: 12pm, Friday 10th February.

We’re a unique Museum and Gallery in Rossendale, reopened in 2021 after a significant £2 million development and extension – and have recently been successful in securing National Portfolio Organisation status with Arts Council England.

We house a number of gallery spaces where we programme visual arts exhibitions from local, national and international artists.

Best European Artist 2023

If you are a European artist looking to push your career to the next level, submit your work for our annual BEST EUROPEAN ARTIST art contest for a chance to win €1000! (€500 for the 1st, €300 for the 2nd and €200 for the 3rd winner).

 

All successful applicants will be participating in a virtual show presented in our virtual gallery and also exhibit on a dedicated screen in our London art gallery.

With 3.5 million people reach weekly our virtual shows tend to be extremely popular!

 

We are now accepting submissions for our virtual competition ‘BEST EUROPEAN ARTIST 2023’.

24th International Open

Woman Made Gallery seeks entries in all media by female identified artists worldwide for its 24th International Open, on view from March 18 to April 22, 2023.

Juried by artist, curator and writer Pritika Chowdhry, this open theme encourages entries that explore or challenge conceptual and material boundaries. The exhibition will be held at Woman Made Gallery, located in the Pilsen neighborhood at 2150 S. Canalport Ave., Chicago, IL 60608.

Prizes Awarded: 1st Place $500 / 2nd Place $250 / 3rd Place $100.

The Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (RI) seeks the best in contemporary watercolour and water media painting for the RI 211th Exhibition.

The show, in spring 2023, offers the opportunity to win prizes & awards worth over £7,500 and have your work seen by thousands of visitors to Mall Galleries.

Call for Sculptors

The Allied Arts Council along with the City of St. Joseph invites regional, national, and international sculpture artists to enter a sculpture for the 10th annual St. Joseph Sculpture Walk!

 

The Sculpture Walk is an exhibit of beautiful outdoor sculptures displayed for one year in Downtown St. Joseph, Missouri.  A guided "First Walk" will be held in June 2023.  

 

The selected sculptures will be displayed Downtown for the June 2023-May 2024 exhibition. Artists selected to receive a $750 honorarium per sculpture selected and compete for up to $13,000 in cash prize awards.  Each sculpture is for sale to the public. Additionally, one sculpture is purchased to become a permanent part of St. Joseph’s public art collection.
