ITSLIQUID International Art Exhibition | February 11/12 – March 12, 2021
Deadline: December 27, 2020

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with Venice Events and ACIT Venice – Italian-German Cultural Association, is selecting all interesting photo, painting, video art, installation/sculpture and performance art works to include in the next exhibition THE BODY LANGUAGE – ITSLIQUID International Art Exhibition 2021 that will be held in Venice during the period of Venice Carnival 2021, at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, from February 11 to March 12, 2021, and at Palazzo Albrizzi-Capello from February 12 to March 12, 2021.

THE BODY LANGUAGE analyzes the hidden parts of our identities, through an immersive experience inside the fascinating universe of the complex labyrinths of our consciousness. The human body is a changing system that connects us with other bodies and spaces to perceive the surrounding reality; a strong communication system with its own language and infinite ways of expression. The exhibition will be presented during the period of Venice Carnival 2021 and we invite artists to be inspired by the magical power of Venetian costumes, exploring the connection between desires, needs, fears through rituals that brings human kind to change, to transform and to evolve their inner world.

The Digital era has transformed the very essence of the way we live, as well as our perception of materiality and space. Art as a reflection of the changes in society gave momentum to a new medium of expression - digital art. Now we are on the verge of a new, space era, where intangible and technological digital art is assonant with the development of humankind.

Ancestors watched the starry sky and created legends, which lived on up to the present. Now we are creating a new symbol of the art of the future - a digital art spaceship, that will bring art to new horizons. Its mission is to expand the realms of art and host the biggest digital art exhibition.

Our Art Spaceship is ready to launch , welcome onboard!

Out of Body

Out Of Body is an online exhibition about who we become when nobody's watching. It’s a response to our ever increasing sense of isolation and the discoveries we make about ourselves in the face of solitude. It’s a gathering of community in a time when we are forced apart. It’s a celebration of our diverse stories, a testament to our commonality, a recognition of our resilience. It’s a call out to the dreamers, to please never stop

The global appeal for distance and isolation in this pandemic has created a shift within us. Everything is different now. How we relate to our bodies. How we see our environment. How we connect with others. How we come to understand that perhaps we were already lonely, it was just drowned out by the din of the crowd.

Artists, Writers, Designers, Makers, Thinkers, Dreamers.

This is a question for you.

What happens when we are alone? When there is us and only us, where do our minds like to wander, where is it that we go?

If we shut our eyes

If we ignore the buzz

If we stop what we’re doing

If we mute the news

If we hide the to-do lists

If we unplug the WiFi

If we silence our phones

Can we leave our body behind?

1.5 degrees

Exhibition 15.1.2021 – 12.3.2021

The 1.5-degree target is understood to mean the goal of limiting the man-made global temperature increase due to the greenhouse effect to 1.5 degrees Celsius by 2100 from the level before the start of industrialization. Almost all the states of the world have signed a treaty with the Paris Convention, according to which they intend to make efforts to achieve the 1.5 degree target. Climate researchers doubt that we will reach this goal, we would already be at 2 degrees. There is a lack of political will. Fridays for Future are fighting to keep the contract.

What has to change to reach the goal? Researchers have developed scenarios that show ways. For example, the price of CO2 increases to 100€/ton. Renewable energies like wind power, solar energy are used instead of fossil fuels. We humans live well and in a climate-friendly way.

Which pictures do artists create on this topic? We are looking forward to your exciting submissions!
