Prompt

LGBTGI+ & Body

The LGBTQI+ community has always been searching for a safe space to express itself, but always fearing the potential criticism it would receive.

The manifold relationship with our body has always been a taboo topic, uncharted waters and a source of concern for a lot of people, something that gradually changes.

So, how can the complexity of the bond with the body we “live in” be expressed?

In the upcoming art exhibition, we want to invite the people of the LGBTQI+ community to freely express themselves and our goal is to welcome artworks, which will represent the connection with their body.

OPEN CALL

Artists’ wonderful days, way out in times of a pandemic, they were full of need, and carried them from reality to the material world and their emotions. Not without difficulties, not without insecurities but with faith in the creative process.

Now that the “normality” is back, we ask the artists to share the inspiration they had when almost all stimuli were forbidden.

For a long time they created without an audience to talk live and now we all need to exorcise the uncertainty and darkness of the previous period. We want to share moments and remember emotions, to talk about the before and after of this parenthesis in our lives.

【 Open Call 】The International Projection Mapping Competition in Tokyo!

An international competition that competes for the best in the world with projection mapping video from 1 min to 1 min 59 sec, "1minute Projection Mapping Competition" will be held in December 2021. This time, it will be held at "Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery" in Tokyo! The theme for the competition is "希望 / HOPE", and the grand prize is 2 million yen.

That feeling of being at once frightened and in awe, insignificant but at the same time invincible, eternal but also very finite and ephemeral – that’s the paradoxical sensation of the sublime! And as we enter ever more uncertain times, both technologically and existentially, the feeling of the sublime casts a shadow on our future, making us both wonder in anticipation and worry in trepidation. What scary frontiers are ahead of us in this ever-digital world? And what fascinations await?
