Apex Sculpture Walk – 2nd Annual Outdoor Show

Sculpture artists are invited to participate in the Town of Apex’s second annual outdoor sculpture show known as the Apex Sculpture Walk, scheduled for April 2022- March 2023. 

This exhibition offers established and emerging professional artists the opportunity to display their sculptures throughout the heart of beautiful downtown Apex, North Carolina. Artists from North Carolina are especially encouraged to apply, though all artists who meet the requirements stated below are eligible.

32nd Annual Midwest Seaons

Original works should draw inspiration from Midwest impressions and activities (i.e. the excitement of summer sports, the fresh scents of spring awakening, the warmth of a hot cup of soup in the bitter winter, or the crisp autumn colors). Interpretations of the season may be broad and entries are not limited to representational works.

ITSLIQUID Group, in collaboration with Venice Events, is pleased to announce the open call for the 9th Edition of CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2021, international exhibition of photography, painting, video art, installation/sculpture and performance art, that will be held in Venice, at THE ROOM Contemporary Art Space, from November 15 to December 09, 2021 and at Misericordia Archives, from November 16 to December 09, 2021, and in other prestigious venues and historical buildings.

$3,500 Artist Grants

The Hopper Prize is now accepting entries for our Fall 2021 artist grants.

We are offering 2 grants in the amount of $3,500 and 4 grants in the amount of $1,000.

Grants will be awarded through an open call art competition juried by leading contemporary curators.

The Hopper Prize was established in order to increase the recognition of artwork created by artists and photographers. Our aim is to advance artists' careers by providing them with unrestricted financial support that is coupled with a platform for increased visibility. We accept submissions twice a year via an open call.

We are currently accepting submissions for the Fall 2021 grant cycle.

NEXT at Christie's: London 2022 Open Call

Next at Christie’s: London 2022 is a hybrid — physical and virtual — exhibition of works by the next generation of artists, taking place in January 2022 and hosted at Duke Street Gallery, Christie's, London. The open call welcomes all London-based artists — either currently studying or recently graduated, and not represented by a commercial gallery. The concept addresses the absurdity of contemporary reality by allowing the ‘Absurd’ to take over the exhibition's artistic and curatorial expression.

Realism 2021 | Virtual Competition with Award Exhibition

Call to artists 18 years and older for our Realism 2021 Painting Competition. Photorealism, hyperrealism, surrealism, magical realism, traditional realism and metarealism. Artists should submit their best paintings in any subject matter. Current artwork please, created in the last 5 years. All traditional mediums allowed including oil, acrylic, gouache, watercolor, pastel, pencil, pen, scratchboard, charcoal & mixed media. No digital or photography. 

Artist's work is then juried and selected for a virtual online exhibition.  This is a competition, not all entries will be in the final exhibition.

Prizes include:
Best in Show Platinum Award
Gold Award of Excellence
Sliver Awards - up to 12
Bronze Awards - based on number of entries
