NXTHVN 2020 Studio and Curatorial Fellowships

Each year, NXTHVN welcomes seven emerging artists, two curators, and five high school apprentices to participate in its highly-competitive Fellowship and Apprenticeship programs. With a focus on mentorship, professional development, and hands-on training, the cohort works collaboratively to cultivate their practices within the context of New Haven’s creative community.

The NXTHVN team, with Deborah Berke Partners, has designed a unique shared environment—within a state-of-the-art facility—where artists, curators and the local community converge to make art, exchange ideas, and extend their networks.

Critical Feedback Program at Trestle

Trestle programs are designed to offer an alternative to the expense of higher education. The Trestle philosophy comes from a belief that artists can grow and learn from each other without the excessive student loans that can come with graduate work at larger institutions. With a studio in NYC, one of the biggest contemporary art meccas in the world, Trestle program participants have the ability to explore all that the city has to offer with a community of like minded individuals.

Trestle’s Critical Feedback Program participants work with art professionals who work in the “real” art world today, actively seeking and earning opportunities, with current information and relevant advice.

Who is this program ideal for?

All In for the Arts

Each year Blue Line Arts hosts a charity poker event, All In for the Arts, to raise funds for our nonprofit organization. This year all proceeds will go towards lighting maintenance and improvement costs, to help us purchase and repair the aging track lights that illuminate all of the art on display at the gallery. We are seeking original works of art to display and sell before and during the event.
