Assemblage International Artist Call

Our latest artist call is seeking artists that embrace the use of found objects in their work. Artwork entered to this open call should demonstrate the use found and reclaimed material, creating objects of beauty out of what could be considered junk.

[Assemblage. and Found. Objects. Assemblage is an artistic process in which a three-‐dimensional composition is made from putting together found objects. Assemblage, like collage, creates meaning through the association of juxtaposed objects.]

Art + Movement

We invite entries in any medium exploring the theme Art + Movement, inspired by questioning how art made in our current divisive state of cultural, political, and religious points of view will be regarded historically. Art movement is defined as a tendency or style in art with a specific common philosophy or goal, followed by a group of artists during a restricted period of time. Art history points to how various movements in art, referred to as isms (impressionism, cubism, fauvism, expressionism, surrealism) were reflections of the views of their time. Additionally, of course, movement also refers to a principle of composition in art and can be used to cause a visual tempo or beat.
