Artist in Residence Programme - Call for applications 2024

At Villa Sonnenberg in Lenzburg, we live hospitality and culture – honestly, heartfelt and reciprocally.

The sponsor of the Villa Sonnenberg is the «Villa Sonnenberg Foundation», which is committed to preserving and revitalising the listed property. This also includes art and cultural projects as well as an «Artist-in-Residence» programme for professional artists. Through the residencies, the foundation promotes intercultural exchange and international networking. The artistic work of the studio guests should experience new impulses and find time to develop further at Villa Sonnenberg.

for WRITING at CAN SERRAT

 

This open call invites all themes and types of writing and research.  Selected residents will have time and space to work on their projects while they are in residence at Can Serrat.

The jury has 3 main criteria for evaluating the applications:

  • Singularity of the proposal.
  • Relevance the proposal has in relation to the Can Serrat program/context and to the notion of community. 
  • The feasibility and sustainability of the project.

IMPORTANT DATES

Application period:  Abril 4 – Mayo 4, 2023

Results:  beginning of June 2023
