Since its establishment in 2011, Gallery Mcube has been dedicated to hosting this non-profit residency program, providing artists with an enriching environment to explore their creativity.

2026 Collective Creation Laboratory

Laboratories and Residencies Geowritings, Sensorial Wanderings, Landscapes Call for Applications for the January and February 2026 Program

 

These laboratories/residencies of collective experimentation invite creators from different disciplines (arts, writing, humanities, science) to practice and reflect on the processes of collective creation: expanded creation, the concept of authorship, listening, collaboration mechanisms, language, the challenges of collective decision-making, and the role of the individual within the collective. It also invites residents to share their interests, strategies, and experiences with these types of processes.

Vice & Virtue, Annual Juried Regional Show

The Annual Juried Regional Show is Art Center Sarasota's largest juried show of the year and encompasses all four of our galleries. This year's show invites artists to explore opposing elements of our human condition. By definition, vice is a practice that is considered morally wrong in society whereas virtue is a trait of excellence. Vice & Virtue asks artists to define their perception of these “rights” and “wrongs” in our contemporary society. Cultural norms, religious beliefs and our political climate all play a role in the artist's assertion of what is good or evil. Is there a gray area in between?

Open Call - Spit on H*tlers Grave

Wir suchen nach Euch! Diesen Sommer planen wir wieder eine Ausstellung und suchen nach freien Künstler*innen und Studierenden, die sich gegen den steigenden Rechtsruck positionieren und sich im Rahmen der Ausstellung künstlerisch mit diktatorischen Gräbern auseinander setzen wollen. Die künstlerischen Arbeiten sollen für die Ausstellung angefertigt werden, es sind keine fertigen Arbeiten für die Bewerbung notwenig. Alle Informationen zur Bewerbung auf dem zweiten Slide.

Rebel Rebel

I am a student at Nata Buachidze’s Art Studio, and for my final project, I am hosting an online exhibition that explores the themes of rebels, protests, activism, and riots against the status quo. 

 

P.S. Group submissions are allowed and highly encouraged.

 

Theme: Rebel, protests, riots

Artists have always stood out from the current state, starting with politics, and diving into the social norms. Any type of activism, such as human rights, eco-friendly, political injustice, natural disasters, and many more will be considered for submission.

 

Fees: No

Open to all nationalities and any aged.

Artistic Field: Photography, painting, graphic design, video/film, digital art, printmaking, mixed media
