Photo Stories

Photo Stories: a Call for Entries Juried by Michael Itkoff at the Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts

The Rhode Island Center for Photographic Arts is looking for bodies of work for an exhibition in June 2019.  No theme or a prompt to follow, just an open call for a project or sequence of images. This is your chance to exhibit work that extends across a set of images to tell a story or explore an idea. We are looking for your story in photographs. Open to all photo-based work with no limit on subject matter or technique. Entries will be judged as a series, five (5) or more images will be included at the juror’s discretion.

Portraiture: Through the Lens

Pose and Gesture, Image and Identity, Documentary and Street, Travel, Constructed Narrative, Self Portrait, Environmental, Vernacular and Snapshot, Family Narrative, Fashion and Nude, all have visual statements to make in the world of portraiture photography. Call for Artists - Wotisart #27 (June 2019)

Wotisart is a portfolio magazine. Our goal is to allow unknown artists an avenue to show their work and gain some recognition in the industry and also to answer the question... What is art? We are now taking entries for the June issue of Wotisart?

Brief: send us a large digital image of your work (the bigger the better). Also send us any information you think is relevant.

Deadline: 28 May 2019

looking for "alternative" photographer working with dimension or texture to participate at photo fair in Paris

The Association Casa Regis - Center for culture and contemporary art from Italy is attending the FOTOFEVER fair in Paris in November of 2019. We are looking to take 1-2 artist-photographers who specialize in photography that incorporates three dimensional elements or takes on an alternative hanging/presentation approach. We can not cover your costs but, if approved by the fair jury, we may host you. That is, individual artists can not attend on their own, but need to be brought by a gallery or cultural association. We can facilitate your presence at the fair, which is one of the biggest "off" fairs for photography and is held at the same time as Paris Photo.
