METAVERSE ART RESIDENCY

Loop Art Critique, is a program offering residencies and public showcases for artists. Our unique approach involves an Open Call where artists submit their work anonymously, allowing for impartial selection based solely on the artwork itself. Loop Art Critique operates primarily in the virtual space, with most submissions being digital artworks.

The standard residency spans six weeks, with live critiques twice weekly for three hours each session. The program accepts international participants and features a one-month public exhibition.

Movies for the Apocalypse

OPEN CALL!!!

Send us your shorts (under 20min) of any genre on the theme of apocalypse (the current one, theme can be creatively interpreted). We are selecting films for a post-apocalyptic time capsule, to show people of the future what our lives were like before the (maybe) impending Big Collapse.

Low/no budget films will be prioritised.

We are accepting submissions on a rolling basis from now until April. In-progress work and/or proposals will also be considered! If you have something you think works, you can DM either of us on instagram ( @gisela.mulwinda  or @agathapple ), or email us at agatha.scaggiante@gmail.com.

The selected films will screen at Movies for the Apocalypse this May in the SET Woolwich Vault!

Open call: Biodiversity Fingerprint Public Artwork Commission

Proposition is commissioning a major temporary public artwork to encourage viewers to think about the potential for humans to have a positive impact on our planet’s ecology.

The artwork will be displayed on Proposition Camden’s Northwest façade, facing the Roundhouse. Envisaged as a digital print on fabric, the artwork will be 15m wide by 9m high.

Gateway Public Artwork

The Town of Ashland, Virginia seeks qualifications from artists/artist teams for a new large-scale public artwork to welcome residents and visitors to the entrance of our historic downtown. The site is highly visible as it serves as the primary entrance to downtown and is proximal to two major east coast roadways, Interstate 95 and US Route 1.

Ideal works of art would create an arch or archway effect to welcome visitors and provide passersby in vehicles safe viewing access. We are not seeking a typical gateway piece, but something creative and dynamic that reflects Ashland's welcoming, quaint, and quirky culture.

  • Deadline to apply: Monday, March 25th, 2024 at 11:59pm Eastern

  • Budget: $60,000
