2021 Embracing Our Differences International Art Exhibit Celebrating Diversity--$3000 in prizes

The centerpiece of Embracing Our Differences is an outdoor juried art exhibit featuring 50 billboard size images created by local, national and international artists and writers. The display reflects the artists' interpretations of the theme "enriching lives through diversity." The exhibit is displayed annually at Bayfront Park in downtown Sarasota. The winning artworks combine a deep understanding of both medium and message.

Currently in search of ANY type of artist or creative person of ANY background to help lay the foundation of a new magazine. 

International Art Competition Waters

Contemporary Art Room Gallery is proud to announce their 1st "Waters" Online Art Competition for the month of August 2020. This is an international competition and artists from around the world are welcome to submit their work. The gallery invites artists and photographers to submit their best artworks related with the theme Waters (seascapes, oceans, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, streams, ponds). A variety of interpretations can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptional). All visual art mediums are acceptable (painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, digital, prints, fiber art, collage or installation art) except sound and video art. $15 entry fee. Deadline: August 24, 2020.

Crossed by the current context, we think in the necessity of researching the possibilities of the artistic work, bounded by the social distancing provisions we look for alternatives of coexistence through the artistic activation of our Shop- Window. Different voices have drawn our attention to the increasing vigilance and control by the state and society in general.

Ministry of Truth: 1984/2020

Ministry of Truth is a public art project on billboards across NYC,  opening in October through November,  leading up to the election.  All kinds of artists may apply.  Shirin Neshat,  Dread Scott, Marilyn Minter and Deb Kass are participating artists,  but other artists will be chosen by an open call. 

SOSUSPS

SOSUSPS is a timely & critical public art exhibition in the tradition of mail art. In support of the 245-year-old U.S. Postal Service, SOSUSPS is seeking original mail art from all walks of people from all corners of the world. Anyone can participate by mailing original artwork through the U.S. Postal Service. Collages, shadow boxes, drawings, illustrated poems, paintings, stamp art, wire sculpture, wooden postcards, knitted letters... Interactive collaborations encouraged.  Mail Art received will be posted to the virtual SOSUSPS Gallery upon receipt.
