Lead Artists for NYC Health + Hospitals Community Murals Project

NYC Health + Hospitals Arts in Medicine

Summary:

NYC Health + Hospitals Arts in Medicine (AIM), with support from the Laurie M. Tisch Illumination Fund and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, is seeking a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for lead artists to work on the NYC Health + Hospitals Community Murals Project (CMP). Continuing the tradition established in the 1930s when the Works Progress Administration supported hundreds of murals across New York City’s public hospitals, the CMP will connect artists and local community members to re-imagine hospitals and promote greater neighborhood wellness.

Artist Open Call - New Portraits from England`s History

English Heritage is commissioning an England-based artist who defines themselves as either of the African diaspora, Black, African, African-Caribbean, Afro-Latinx, African-American or mixed heritage, to create a portrait celebrating the life of a person of the African diaspora whose story has contributed to England’s rich history.

This portrait of a male leader of African descent, whose name will be provided by English Heritage to the commissioned artist, will be hung at an English Heritage site in the North of England. English Heritage particularly welcomes applications from artists based in the North of England for this opportunity.

Art Exhibition Collection:EXIT

Exit is the light of saving reflection and hesitation. It has a special meaning for life on the earth and even outside the earth. The solution of contradictions, the end of thinking, and the cut-off are difficult to extricate themselves Suddenly, space and time interact here. Every life is in the process of life cycle. We should treat our present moment strictly. Today, in any corner of the world, perhaps no one wants to solidify time at this moment. It is the exit.

On the back of the silence is the exit, gazing at the people who come and go intentionally or unintentionally. Every life comes with the wind. It doesn't know time, just stands quietly, and doesn't have time to hand it to the people who pass by. This is the exit.
