Call for Women Artists - Create! Magazine Issue #44 and Prize

Create! Magazine is excited to announce our call for entries for Create! Magazine’s Issue #44, "The Women’s Issue 2024."

Inspired by our commitment to addressing the underrepresentation of women artists, we invite you to participate in our annual print issue and prize. As an artist, you know the importance of showcasing your work to new audiences, curators, and leaders in the art world, and we are dedicated to providing opportunities for you to do just that.

Our distinguished jury panel, featuring Eliza Ali of Art She Says, Liz Lidgett of Liz Lidgett Gallery, and Marina Press Granger of The Artist Advisory, will select outstanding women-identifying and gender non-conforming artists from diverse media and creative backgrounds.

Open Call to The Mobile Library Magazine Volume 3 Issue 4: Seniority

The Mobile Library provides a multi-digital exhibiting experience for artists and writers, from around the world, to showcase their work. Each publication is unique, pairing 6 artists and 6 writers together at different stages in their career to build a collaborative experience.

This year, Volume 3 will explore the theme of memory with Issue 4 seeking work that explores memories, moments, and experiences of seniority. Themes include, but are not limited to--family, self-realization, and legacy. Works include visual and fine art and literature (poetry, short stories, journal, essays, etc.).

Prnt Scrn Zine

In a time when we are constantly thinking about conserving resources, recycling, and reusing material, what place does print have? What role do zines play? How do we choose what to print when dealing with an overabundance of material waste? On the other hand, the possibility of digital obsolescence may make us value print even more.

Zines offer a unique way of exploring these questions through a print-based medium. Zines are short publications with a long history of being self-published and DIY!

“To respond to these questions, we’re asking: If you could only print eight A5 pages, what would they be?”

The collection comes out on 24 January 2024!
