Duquesne University/August Wilson House Fellowship

For artists of color who will carry out their creative work and share it with the community

Launched in 2018 with U.S. Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey as the Inaugural Fellow, the Duquesne University/August Wilson House (DU/AWH) Fellowship provides opportunities for artists of color in varied media to engage in cultural and artistic expression. The Fellowship advances the Fellow's work and serves the joint interests of Duquesne University, August Wilson House, and the community. The Fellowship is designed to bring national and regional artists and scholars into a collaboration between the famed playwright's Hill District neighborhood and educational and artistic institutions.

Kingsbrae International Residence for the Arts (KIRA) was established in February 2016 in an effort to support the creativity of artists. It hopes to promote excellence in the arts both here in Canada as well as in the International scene, all the while benefitting the local community of St Andrews by becoming a cultural destination. A residency at KIRA creates a rewarding and stimulating experience for any participant seeking to advance their artistic journey.

Located in beautiful St Andrews, New Brunswick, Canada. Artists live on a historic property in a beautiful seaside town and work in studios located just steps away from the residence. It is within walking distance of the down town area.

General Open Call for Artist in Residence Berlin 2019-2020

coGalleries is pleased to announce the open call for Artist in Residence Program Berlin. As a contemporary art gallery with a beautiful space in the center of town, we are interested in production-oriented artists and diverse cultural agents like writers, researchers, curators and others interested in creative projects, research and collaboration within the contemporary arts. Applicants with own residencies and organizations that are looking for collaborators, please also apply or contact us via email. There are two residency opportunities: a studio only residency or a more extensive master residency with coaching, portfolio work and further. Studio residencies will be able to present the works in a studio opening.
