Butterbiggens Prize in Painting

The Butterbiggens Prize is an experiment to see if an art foundation can be productive on a micro scale. We provide tiny grants for artists in the form of fast food gift certificates.

A showcase for contemporary emerging artists, Every month a UK painter will be nominated, and receive a small bursary as well as an online interview and profile. Micro Fellowship fo UK painters, juried by a group of Scottish Art Students.

Colors Art Contest

Grey Cube Gallery proudly presents the second Colors online art contest for the month of April. Contest is open to all artists worldwide over 18 years of age. The gallery invites all artists and photographers from around the world to share their artistic vision using a concetration of one color or a multitude of colors. A variety of interpretations of Colors theme can be submitted (representative, abstract, conceptional). All visual art mediums (except video and sound) are allowed. The Best of Show winning artwork will be displayed as the poster of the show. All winning artists (Merit Award & Honorable Mention) will receive a digital award certificate. $16 for 2 images. The Walk - An Open call for London based visual artists with lived experience of migration.

Deptford X, in partnership with Lewisham Borough of Culture, The Migration Museum and The Walk are delighted to announce an opportunity for an ambitious commission by a London-based visual artist/artist collaboration with lived experience of migration.

This opportunity is for artists with lived experience of migration who are resident in London. Applications by artists who live in, are connected to, or able to demonstrate connections to, Lewisham will also be prioritised
