Open Call for Art: Theme NUDE

Since IG has been censoring sensual art, downscaling artists, or deleting their content, we want to counteract by our open call “NUDE”. Show us your nude artworks and we will promote them in our next virtual exhibition, magazine, art blog and more! Nudity in art should not be censored or banned!

The exhibition will run for at least one month

Artspace Call for Artists

The Arts Council of Lake Oswego (ACLO) invites artists to submit their work for a juried exhibition at the ACLO gallery, Artspace, during fall 2024. 

Esteemed art historian Sue Taylor, Ph.D., will be the guest juror working with Artspace's Curator and Program Manager. The exhibition will be on view at Artspace from September 6 to October 25, 2024. 

This exhibition is open to residents of Lake Oswego, Portland, and the surrounding areas of Multnomah, Clackamas & Washington counties. We strongly encourage artists in under-represented communities to apply for this opportunity, including artists who identify as Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian, Pacific Islander, and people of color; LGBTQIA+; low-income, and artists with disabilities.

Art Babe Club Summer 2024 Online Exhibition

Artists supporting the Art Babe Club are invited to submit artwork for consideration to the 2nd annual Summer Online Exhibition, which will feature a wide range of styles and mediums celebrating works by Art Babes! This exhibition is open to artists who work in any medium, so long as the piece is documented by image.

The Summer 2024 Online exhibition on the show's portfolio website is designed to highlight the thriving art community of the Art Babe Club and to showcase the diverse array of talented Art Babes who support there.

THE EXHIBITION

A discipline par excellence in the art world, life modeling opens the door to the study of morphology, proportions, shadows and gestures of the human body. It's also a wonderful way of capturing the image of another person's body.

In this group show from October 2 to 9, the Openbach gallery will be showcasing the full range of techniques and sensibilities used in live model drawing.  Nos corps dessinés' is also an exhibition that pays tribute to both artists and models.

The exhibition will be divided into three areas : a zone dedicated to the genesis of this practice, a space with a selection of framed works, and finally a patchwork of drawings.
