The Choreographic Marathon

The Choreographic Marathon is an intensive creation-exchange program for movement artists, from different forms, backgrounds & generations, in an intentionally diverse community, to examine & share each other’s viewpoints & expertise, to experience how different movement art is created, to better understand how creation is received, & to advance & hone their own objectives, processes & creative directions. The program includes in-studio praxis, group interactions, showings, performance, workshops and public sharing. mid-May 2026 intensive May 16-18, with continuing facilitation for 4 more months. 2026 Getxophoto Popular Participation

PUBLIC CALL FOR PHOTOGRAPHS to be displayed in shop windows throughout the city during the Getxophoto Festival. The deadline for submitting photographs is 25 March 2026.

This call is for the submission of a single photograph on the theme RESET. A selection will be made from all the photos received, and around forty of them will be displayed in the shop windows of some businesses in Getxo, the city where the Festival takes place (Basque Country, Spain).

L’Alternativa, Barcelona Independent Film Festival, celebrates its 33rd edition this year. We offer filmgoers, filmmakers and industry professionals a unique opportunity to discover and enjoy screenings and activities that value creative freedom, diversity, innovation, commitment and thought-provoking reflection.

L’Alternativa will take place from 12-22 Nov. 2026. The main onsite venue is the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB).

We accept features and shorts, fiction, nonfiction, essay, animation and experimental from Spain and worldwide. Cash prizes.

"Home" creation residency

In 2026, Kinitiras makes a strong comeback in the field of performing arts residencies in Greece and is teaming up with Chico’s Productions for a week-long creation residency in August, in Athens, Greece. During this week, Nicole and Sophia (Chico’s Production’s CEOs) are literally opening the doors of their home. This multidisciplinary residency aims to connect people across the world and across the art forms. Creators are invited to play and explore within the frame that the idea of “Home” inspires.

Theme: PYR (FIRE)

The OPEN NIGHTS Festival invites professional visual artists, performers, writers, film makers, or other creative individuals and groups, to submit proposals for participation in its upcoming 11th edition, exploring the theme of FIRE.  Fire is not merely a chemical phenomenon.
It is a “process” with biochemical, ecological, mythological, and cultural dimensions.
It emerges from life and returns to it, breaking down what photosynthesis creates.
