Expressive Nature | Call For Photography

We invite photographers to submit to our open call, Expressive Nature. This call for photography seeks to delve into the emotional and artistic resonance of the natural world as seen through the artist's lens.

Photographers are encouraged to challenge the viewer's perception of nature with organic shapes, showcase the dynamic interplay between light and shadow, or capture moments of stillness that evoke deep emotion. Celebrate the beauty and expressive power of nature through your photography.

Explore and interpret the natural surroundings uniquely, showcasing your ability to capture its emotional essence. We welcome submissions in any style, including abstract, experimental, black and white, and documentary.

Mysterium: Queer/Trans Magic Magazine Issue 3

Queer/Trans Magic Magazine is an international, biannual anthology celebrating LGBTQ+ creativity and liberation. Mysterium invites you to revel in the mysteries, mythologies, and traditions that shape our queer and trans experiences.

Whether through short stories, personal essays, scholarly work, poetry, photography, visual art or even spellwork, we welcome it all!

This issue asks contributors:

  • How do we pass down knowledge across generations and communities?
  • How can silence, secrecy, illusion, and ambiguity protect us?
  • How do we nourish the sacred, the unseen, and the unsaid?

Submissions are open until August 31st, 2024.
It is FREE to submit.

Andy Rocchelli Grant 2024

Andy Rocchelli Grant is an international award, now in its second edition, promoted by CESURA in the name of its co-founder Andy Rocchelli, photojournalist killed in Ukraine in 2014. Andy was an irreplaceable fire starter, and to make sure that his values as a photographer and as a person can continue to burn, since 2021 CESURA has established a Grant in his name to allow an author or new talent to create a photographic book in full freedom of expression, as Andy would have wanted.
