We are pleased to invite artists, galleries and projects from across the Web3 community to join us at Boulvart, a three-day event aimed at celebrating Dubai’s position as a hub for the Web3 global community.

Every day, we will have 20 showcase slots for a presentation by an artist or a curated selection from a gallery. Web3 projects and DAOs will also be invited to apply for exhibition space at Foundry, Downtown. Each accepted project will be shown on a dedicated screen during the duration of the event offering an overall level of curation and ensuring a seamless journey for viewers.

The aim of the event is to activate the artist community and integrate more participants into Web3. We wish to celebrate and support the vision of artists in the digital space and it would be our pleasure to consider a proposal for a 15-30 minute exhibition in our 360° gallery that stimulates not only audio and visual senses but also uses aromas and vibration to deliver a fully immersive experience.

Your proposed immersive experience should be in a resolution 13440 x 2160 px, no more than 10GB and each artist can create up to 5 x 4k artworks for NFT minting on our brand new platform. Therefore, each artwork must be ready to be newly minted or burned from other platforms. Kindly note that political, sensitive, libellous or slanderous content will be rejected.

If your proposal is accepted, we will provide you with the full specifications needed for the display. We will also enable the artworks to be listed and minted on the Art In Space platform that will launch during the event. The platform, which functions on the Ethereum and Polygon blockchain, has been designed in parallel with the gallery, which takes 10% commission on each sale. If unsold, each artwork will remain on the platform for 3-6 months.

On Saturday, November 19, Studio Montclair will celebrate its 25th year with our 4th annual 'Affair of the Art' event. This is SMI's biggest and most successful fundraiser - which we were unable to hold since 2019, before COVID. Money raised enables us to support our Art Academy, galleries, programs, and services throughout the calendar year. This year the event is being held at the beautiful Women's Club of Glen Ridge, and we anticipate a large and diverse crowd of art lovers, supporters, and collectors.

The art auction will be a widely publicized and exciting component of the evening, and we plan to showcase a wide variety of artwork created by talented SMI members. This is a great opportunity to expose your work to new audiences while supporting Studio Montclair through your participation.

Sophie's Postcard for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity

#sophiespostcard Call for artists is now open - Artworks will be added to sophiespostcard.com and shared on social media as they arrive.

St Richard’s Catholic College’s postcard-sized art fundraising sale, #sophiespostcard is taking place for the third time during Summer 2022. Since 2018, the school has raised over £46,000 for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. #sophiespostcard is in memory of former pupil, Sophie Maria Taylor, who was cared for by The Royal Marsden but lost her life to cancer on 5th April 2017.

#sophiespostcard is a secret auction consisting of original postcard-sized artworks, made and donated by professional artists, designers and illustrators, plus up-and-coming artists from St Richard’s Catholic College and the general public. As the auction is secret and bidders don’t know which artist’s work they’re bidding on, part of the fun is trying to recognise the signature style of the hand that drew the artwork.

St Richard’s Catholic College is extremely grateful to have received enormous support from hundreds of artists, printmakers and designers who have contributed so many incredible works of art over the years. Previous donated artworks included world famous artists and printmakers such as: Sir Quentin Blake, Axel Scheffler, BP Portrait Award winner Susanne du Toit, Laura Quinn Harris, Ian Murphy, Jennifer Anderson, Loui Jover, Carne Griffiths, Kate Brinkworth, Matthew Burrows, Luke Martineau, Bob and Roberta Smith, Mark Curryer, Richard Spare, John Dilnot and Rebecca Denton.

Author and illustrators who have taken part include: Thomas Taylor, Liz Pichon, Dame Jacqueline Wilson, Jamie Smart, Rosalind Monks, Jane Porter, Riken Parekh, Tracey English and those with talents better known in other fields such as Harry Hill and Fearne Cotton.

#sophiespostcard offers collectors and first-time buyers the chance to purchase unique works of art by leading figures from the art and cultural world or perhaps by a Year 7 pupil. All postcards have a starting bid of just £1 and are auctioned on eBay, making it accessible to buyers around the globe.

All artworks have a reserve bid of just £1

Send your postcard, signed on the back, in an envelope to #sophiespostcards, St Richard's Catholic College, Ashdown Rd, Bexhill-on-Sea TN40 1SE
