Call for ART: 10th Annual Abstract Sanctuary

Verum Ultimum Art Gallery invites artists to explore the theme, ABSTRACT SANCTUARY for its 10th year...

and enter work that is any interpretation of the call. Please note this exhibition will be ONLINE ONLY.

ABSTRACT SANCTUARY was the inaugural exhibition and each year it serves as a marker for Verum Ultimum. It's always a reminder of progress, of consistency, of change, and of the deep well of inspiration from artists.

Verum Ultimum Gallery is honored to invite artists to explore, "Abstract Sanctuary" for their 10th annual exhibit of this theme and enter work that is any interpretation of the call. The goal is NOT to drive the work, rather to discover unique visions and showcase them. All mediums are welcome. This call emphasizes the process with a focus on the individual style of the art maker. Abstraction is a vital vehicle of expression for many contemporary artists and the use of abstraction dates back to the beginning of man. It is one of the most elemental forms of expression for artists. Verum Ultimum Gallery invites artists to showcase their talent within this expressive genre.

This is a virtual exhibition and all works will be displayed on the gallery website, within a virtual viewing gallery setting, and promoted through blogposts and social media channels.

In//Between #9 Artist Residency

Type:

Country:

City:

Organisation:

Eligibility:

Green Hill Gallery is pleased to announce the open call for In//Between art residency and exhibition program. In//Between is not just an exhibition - it is a collaborative project that brings together artists from different cultures and parts of the world.

In//Between is about creating a space that does not belong to any artist, culture, language, art form, or discipline. For four weeks, selected artists will get the chance to examine the ways they have previously seen and done things and look to what lies ahead: an open canvas, a blank role of film, a block of clay, an idea or vision that has not been thought of before.

Throughout this residency, the artists will collaborate to build a unique exhibition that showcases the nexus between cross-cultural dialogue, experience, and growth. Therefore, they will create a space where diversity will be leading the way.

Accepted artists must commit to attend all planning, preparation, gathering, and discussion evenings. The work for this exhibition must be created between the initial group meeting and the opening of the exhibition. Previously created works will not be accepted. The In//Between residency program is followed by a public exhibition at Green Hill Gallery lasting for four weeks. During each residency period, Green Hill Gallery is available as a studio space for all In//Between artists, from the first meeting right up until the opening of the exhibition.

This program is suited for any artists who are interested in working in an environment that is characterized by exchange, open-mindedness, diversity and community.
