One day shoot.
Three characters. Two young men and one young woman.
Story: Young woman and her boyfriend wait for her old boyfriend, who is returning for the first time after many years in the military. She had promised to wait, but after so many years, she moved on.
The new boyfriend wants her to run off, to avoid confrontation, because he is determined to fight for her to the death if need be. Regardless of the consequences she feels she must comfort he whom she loved, face to face so she can tell him herself, where her heart has gone. Her battle hardened soldier, the one she loved, but no more, appears and the three face off.

And can only live with herself and her boyfriend if she confronts the returning soldier and tells him to his face what time has done to her heart, fully understanding that the confrontation between the three might turn deadly,
