Art Future- In search for future talents in Contemporary Arts ── Part 1: Open Call for Artist/Curator (local talents)

In response to the unprecedented challenges and its impact, Art Future invites young and emerging art talents to submit innovative project idea highlighting the possibilities and imagination of the future for the art circle, humanity and beyond. The project empowers selected curators and artists to realize their concept into physical events with an online showcase.

Virtual Residency – Together, separately

The virtual residency is a gathering of artists who work in sync, support one another and use a change in pace to think differently about their creative practice.

Now recruiting artists for the following dates:

  • 24-29 January 2021 (Deadline for applications 27 December 2020)
  • 31 January - 5 February 2021 (Deadline for applications 3 January 2021)
  • 14-19 March 2021 (Deadline for applications 7 February 2021)
  • 21- 26 March 2021 (Deadline for applications 14 February 2021)

The residency is mixed discipline. The program welcomes, but is not limited to: visual artists, conceptual artists, video artists, writers, poets, multidisciplinary artists, performance artists, installation artists, photographers

California Black Voices Project

Grant funding opportunity for Black artists or curators in California to create or curate artwork(s) for an exhibition at Minnesota Street Project.

Minnesota Street Project Foundation invites Black artists or curators in California to create original artwork(s) or an exhibition. The program’s vision is to recognize and reward the exceptional work of Black artists and curators in California. The five chosen grantees will receive $10,000 and be provided space at the 1275 Minnesota Street Project Galleries to feature their newly developed works. All work will also be presented on Adjacent, Minnesota Street Project’s newest virtual viewing space for art.

The future is here. In the post-COVID-19 era, what kind of society will we live in? As an artist, how do you view our existence? How do you understand our relationship with the world?
