Open Exhibition 2019: Call for Entries

Open Exhibition 2019 entry forms are now available.

Enter your work to be in with the chance of winning £250, £500, £750 or £1200! Plus have your work shown in a professionally curated exhibition.  

The Open Exhibition is an open to all visual art competition. It offers artists the opportunity to exhibit as part of a professionally curated and public-facing show, taking place over all three gallery spaces of Vivacity’s Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery. We look to create a dynamic show that serves as a platform in recognising and promoting, showcasing and rewarding the best selection of visual art from across the UK. Please note the submission process has changed. Entry Forms AND payment should be submitted by the entry deadline on the 22 February 2019.

MeetShareDance is a small immersive participatory international event, where dance teachers/choreographers and other participants exchange their knowledge on inclusive dance. For teachers with or without disability with a solid knowledge and experience. We strive to have a diverse group, different dance backgrounds, techniques and workshop proposals.

Burke Prize

Named for Marian and Russell Burke, two passionate collectors of craft and longtime supporters of MAD, the Burke Prize is an annual award that reinforces the Museum’s commitment to celebrating the next generation of artists working in and advancing the disciplines that shaped the American studio craft movement.   

The prize is an unrestricted $50,000 award made to a professional artist age 45 or under working in glass, fiber, clay, metal, or wood.

Each fall, the Museum presents an exhibition of works by the Burke Prize finalists. The winner is announced at MAD Ball, the Museum’s annual fundraising gala

About Animals: An ART SHOW

The Chicago Urban Art Retreat Center is looking for artists and activists who make art about animals to submit their work to a show at our Liz Long Gallery this Summer.

New and non-traditional artists are encouraged to apply!

We are interested in art about animals in their natural habitat, animals who aid and love people, the struggle of animals to remain on earth, humor about animals, the beauty of animals and the relationship of animals to each other and nature.
