RBSA Photography Prize 2025

The RBSA Photography Prize 2025 invites artists creating work using photographic processes to enter work. This is the sixth RBSA Photography Prize exhibition to be held.

We welcome entries from professional and emerging artists based locally, nationally, and internationally. There are five prizes to be won, including £1,000 First Prize, £500 Second Prize, £250 Third Prize, £250 Student Prize, and a 2026 RBSA Gallery Solo Show Prize. Up to six highly commended certificates will also be awarded.

Selection for the Photography Prize is by digital image of the original artwork only. All works entered go through the same anonymous selection process. The selection is based on the assessment of the quality and interest of each work.

Beyond the Frame

We invite art photographers to submit their work to our online exhibition and magazine publication, Beyond the Frame: Picturing Artistic Narratives. This open call seeks to showcase art photography. We are looking for work that conveys profound stories through innovative and imaginative perspectives. We encourage you to experiment with photographic techniques that bend reality, suggesting narratives that transcend the ordinary. Explore the interplay of light and shadow, and use form in unexpected ways to evoke deeper stories or emotions. Capture moments or elements deeply rooted in specific cultures, and let your story unfold through cultural symbols.
