Passepartout Photo Prize aims to support the development of talented photographers from all over the world by providing 1,000 euros in monetary awards every year, exhibition opportunities in a prestigious venue in the heart of Rome, Italy, publication opportunities and more. 

Among the jurors are the American photographer Richard Tuschman, GUP Magazine editor Erik Vroons and professionals from different backgrounds that bring various perspectives into our selection process.

This is a perfect platform to start your career in contemporary art and photography industries on an international scale.

Every year, we announce multiple calls for entries and select a winner of each edition who will be awarded 500 euros. Plus, all the participants will have another chance to be selected for our annual collective exhibition and the annual catalogue. 

It is an open theme contest. Photographic works of any kind of artistic style, size and technique (digital, film and experimental processes, digital collages and other mixed media) are accepted.

The application is open to photographers from all over the world without any age limit.

Passepartout embraces innovative and original approaches to contemporary photography.

We welcome various artistic languages applied to the photographic image, including, but not limited to, experimentation and fusion of different genres.

The annual exhibition took place in Rome, Italy, from 8th to 22th September. The exhibition has been hosted by 28 Piazza di Pietra Gallery, an international fine art gallery specialized in contemporary art of both emerging and established international artists. The gallery is located in the historic center of Rome where local and international visitors and art collectors gather. This modern gallery beautifully integrated and built on the ancient ruin of the Hadrian Temple structure is an impeccable site to display artworks of many genres.

Early Bird entry fee: 18 euros for 3 photographs. You can submit up to 7 photographs with an additional 4 euros per piece.

Audiovisual Frontiers: Call for Works

The UCR Department of Music, in collaboration with UCR ARTS, will be presenting a virtual exhibition of selected audiovisual works entitled "Audiovisual Frontiers." We are looking for audiovisual works from a diversity of perspectives, aesthetics, affects, movements, and sensations that push the limits of the audiovisual. The deadline to submit is November 1, 2021. The first iteration of the exhibit will be launched on November 20, 2021, with a second launching in May 2022.

Artists should submit their best paintings in any subject matter or style.  All traditional painting mediums! (e.g., oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, mixed media, gouache, egg tempera, pen and ink; drawing media such as graphite, charcoal, colored pencils and scratch board) This competition is just for TRADITIONAL PAINTING.  No digital, no sculputure, no photography.

Artist's work is then juried and selected for a virtual online exhibition.  This is a competition, not all entries will be in the final exhibition.

UA/UK Art Business School 2021

Within the Art Business School, experts and practitioners will conduct a joint educational school, international panel discussions, create a Guide for the art industry and formulate proposals to improve the regulatory field and rules of the Ukrainian art market and publish a collection of analytical articles in Ukrainian and English. The project will provide art entrepreneurs, artists, cultural workers and cultural operators with up-to-date knowledge, practical cases from the British art market and advice from leading industry experts.

Art Business School will be divided into 5 panels on current issues in the art industry:
1) The state of the art market before and after the pandemic / Denis Belkevich (Ukraine), David Bellingham (UK);
2) East-West: the inclusion of Ukrainian art in the Western art market / Olena Grabb (Ukraine), James Butterwick (UK);
3) NFT, Blockchain and crypto projects / Anastasiia Gliebova (Ukraine), Fanny Lakubay (UK);
4) Digitization and online art market / Olga Simson (Ukraine), Leili Sreberny-Mohammadi (UK);
5) Sale of art abroad: tax and customs issues / Alina Plyushch (Ukraine), Henry Lidiate (UK).

During each panel, there will be two lectures and a professional discussion on the topic, as well as Q&A with Ukrainian and British experts, which can be joined by anyone. Art Business School will take place online from October 9 to November 6 every Saturday. Professionals from the art industry with previous experience in the field will be selected to participate directly in the school, and everyone will be able to join the viewing of broadcasts of Art Business School events. Participation in the school is free. Applications for participation in Art Business School are selected until October 1.

The project will be supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation and the British Council.

Seeking Digital Artists and Musicians

Syntropy States is a small digital arts start-up with a big vision. We’re creating a platform that brings together the digital arts with breathwork, relaxation and meditation. 

 

We’re passionate about the role that art and music can play in people’s health and happiness and we want to help digital artists and musicians play a meaningful role in helping to heal our broken, stressed society. And that’s where you come in.

 

We’re looking for artists and musicians who want to share their work in meaningful ways to help social wellbeing by creating accessible art and music that provides a way to relax, reconnect and revitalise in an accessible way. Specifically, we are seeking to commission 14 short audio visual videos to be hosted on our forthcoming app “Syntropy”. Syntropy is a new and exciting way for the digital arts to not only entertain, but to also serve as an effective and widely available digital health tool.

 

Each visual and audio selection will receive £200, along with promotion, exposure to a large and growing audience and a digital arts residency within the Syntropy app and website.

 

Your video will appear as Video of the Week on the Syntropy app (launching soon) where it will reach a rapidly growing audience. After appearing as Video if the Week your video, and reference to you as the artist, will remain within the Syntropy app where users will be able to find it and use it any time they like.

Prizes Details: 

The £200 will be awarded in the form of £100 for the art and £100 for the music. That means if you create both the art and the music you get £200. But if you create either the art or the music the £200 is shared as £100 each.
