Call for Submissions

Last Call for Submissions! - Art About the Issues: A Show for Women

The deadline for submitting to Chicago Urban Art Retreat's first show of the year is approaching, and we are still looking for artists to participate!

Artists are encouraged to create and submit art that tells a story about violence against women and girls, but we welcome all submissions related to contemporary women's issues.

Women need to continue to speak up and let their voices be heard. Men who support women need to get on board. This art show will allow viewers to discuss contemporary women's & girls issues through art.

We are offering workshops during the run of the show for new artists an opportunity to learn and make art about contemporary women's issues.

SqueeFest at RevelCon

We are now accepting film submissions for our festival at RevelCon in Houston in March 2019.

We are seeking film submissions to present at RevelCon, the only fan-run, fan-fun, relax-a-con in the Southwest. If you are interested in fanficton, fannish song vids, panels about your favorite media madness, art, food, friends, fun and frolic, have we got a FANtastic weekend planned for you. This is RevelCon's 30th anniversary so it will be an extra special celebration of fandom, friendship and community.

REAKTOR Potenziale

The REAKTOR’s cross-disciplinary programme features works that are imbued with the spirit of the times. Indeed, what is still considered experimental today may well one day be perceived as timelessly permanent. That is particularly true of contemporary art. The REAKTOR’s open call is designed to seek out that very potential in the visual arts, hence the title Potenziale. Particular emphasis is to be placed on space-defining art for the REAKTOR’s architectural core, i.e. its main hall.

The chosen artists will be invited to flesh out and implement their submitted concept as part of a fortnight’s residency and then showcase it to the public as part of an exhibition.
