VAA International Exhibition & Scholarship Prize

The Visual Artists Association has introduced an exhibition and scholarship fund of £50,000. Created to support early career artists to develop their arts businesses, The VAA International Exhibition & Scholarship Prize, launched in Summer 2022, aims to benefit emerging and re-emerging artists. This will be achieved by increasing artists’ international exposure, whilst raising funds for VAA artist education programmes.

“Urban Vibes” Digital Art Contest

Pixarra is announcing a call for artists for a new digital art contest under the theme of “Urban Vibes”. Submission is free of charge and is not limited in the number of entries. 2D and 3D artists from around the world are invited to show their art.

All submissions must be digital paintings created with illustration software and the participants must have the full copyrights on them. Traditional art, photographies, photo manipulations, collages and animation are not accepted.

Participants can submit their entries at http://www.pixarra.com/competition between July 25, and September 4, 2022.

The winners will be selected by a jury and will be announced on September 7, 2022. The evaluation  criteria will be: quality, technique and thematic relevance.

Art for Change Prize

A new annual prize from Saatchi Gallery and M&C Saatchi Group. The free-to-enter prize is a celebration of emerging artistic talent. It will highlight and stimulate dialogue around visual arts as a medium for positive global and social change and give exposure to emerging artists worldwide. Works must creatively respond to the theme ‘Equality’. 

International Magazine Cover Design Contest

That's right! You heard right! Submit your cover design and maybe (just maybe) it'll end up as the official magazine cover for Eezy Sleez' new publication INSERT COMMERCIALLY INOFFENSIVE MAGAZINE TITLE HERE... pretty neat huh...

So here's the deal...
This is a totally free competition which is to say it will cost absolutely nothing to enter.
You can create whatever you want regardless of theme (however, preference will be made towards artworks that relate to the overall themes of "Social Commentary", "Depravity" and/or "Milk".

All artworks must be submitted in high-quality JPEG and PNG formats.
Artworks are preferred to be 1:1.414 ratio, however, all sizes and shapes are considered. 

Science in Action Comic Strip Contest

SciArt Exchange in collaboration with NASA Earth Applied Sciences is excited to bring to you the free international Science in Action Comic Strip Contest.

Our fabulous Finalist Judges are: Geneva Bowers, Nathan Fox, Lawrence Friedl, Kristin Laidre, Hyesu Lee, Mostafa Moussa, Nicole Stott and Jim Toomey.

This contest is open to high school (14-18 years old) and college-aged students, adults and professionals (18+) who will create action-packed comics that tell the story of how satellite imagery benefits life on Earth, helping communities protect our oceans, air and land.

The winners will be selected by a jury and will be announced on July 24, 2022. The evaluation  criteria will be: quality, technique and thematic relevance.
