Aperture, a not-for-profit foundation, connects the photo community and its audiences with the most inspiring work, the sharpest ideas, and with each other – in print, in person, and online.

Created in 1952 by photographers and writers as “common ground for the advancement of photography”, Aperture today is a Multiplatform publisher and center for the photo community. From our base in New York, we produce, publish, and present a program of photography projects, locally and internationally.

Passion to Perform

Calling all Artists! Apply for the Yamana Gold Passion to Perform Artist Prize.

Artists are welcome to submit paintings, drawings, sculptures and photography as entries to Passion to Perform. Prizes will be awarded in $USD based on a jury selection of: $6,000 for first prize, $2,500 for second prize, and $1,500 for third prize. In addition, a fund has been established to acquire artworks from the shortlist of finalists, which will then become part of the permanent collection of Yamana Gold.

| Eligible Submissions:

Entries may include 2- and 3-dimensional media, such as paintings, drawings, photography, mixed media, installations, ceramics, jewelry, fabric, sculpture, photos of performance art, fiction, poetry, short stories and other written explorations (up to 900 words). Submissions must be the original work of the applicant(s). Apply using the online form.

2nd Annual Women Artists Art Competition

Fusion Art is once again celebrating women artists. The gallery invites both 2D and 3D submissions from women artists, only, for the 2nd Annual Women Artists art competition.

This is an international open competition so any subject matter and any media is acceptable. The work can range from realism to surrealism to abstraction and all women artists, over the age of 18, are encouraged to submit their best 2D and 3D representational and non-representational art and photography.

A three-month group online exhibition will be featured on the Fusion Art website starting January 15 through April 14, 2019.

ELIGIBILITY: Artists are welcome to submit works in any visual medium: painting, drawing, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, photography, textile, installation, mixed media, digital, film etc. All visual art mediums are welcome.
