Fiberart International 2025

OVERVIEW

Fiberart International 2025 (Fi2025) seeks to exhibit the best of contemporary art and invites submissions that reflect a wide range of works related to the fiber medium. The exhibition is recognized around the world as a benchmark that documents trends and innovations in the field. The goal of the exhibition is to include innovative work rooted in traditional fiber materials, structure, processes and history, as well as art that explores unexpected relationships between fiber and other creative disciplines.

Studio Montclair’s Virginia S. Block Community Partnership Exhibition Program

This year SMI is once again partnering with Montclair Art Museum for our Community Partnership Program. Created by co-founder and past president Virginia S. Block, it is now in its seventh year. The partnership exhibition aims to reach out to other nonprofit organizations each year to create a collaborative exhibition designed to inspire our members, create new connections, and reach new audiences.

Interested in having your art published, printed, and posted directly to your doorstep? Participate alongside a broad range of incredible artists, all underpinned by this iteration's theme: "More or Less?"SU4IP welcomes artists and their creations to feature in the sixth installment of the Artist Book by SU4IP series. All works in any medium related to this theme are welcome!

Romano Cagnoni Award 2024

The Romano Cagnoni Award, international prize dedicated to photojournalism, was born in 2019 in memory of the multifaceted ability to narrate the world by the photographer Romano Cagnoni (1935-2018).

The Award is promoted by the Romano Cagnoni Foundation, in collaboration with Photolux – International Festival of Photography. The Romano Cagnoni Award, directed by Benedetta Donato, is held every two years with the aim of supporting photographers who investigate, with depth and participation, topics related to the human condition, social and environmental change, humanitarian crises and the violation of human rights in the world.

"Open Theme” - FREE Entry, $1,000 Award Competition

Introducing the 2nd "Open Theme”, international competition and online exhibition. This competition is open to artists of all ages internationally with no restrictions on media or style. The theme for this competition is “Open”; participants are free to create and submit artworks based on any subject matter or theme of their choice. only artists whose work is selected as finalists must pay the $35 participation fee. Finalists will have their work exhibited online and move on to the final round of Jurying in consideration for cash prizes and the opportunity to win the grand prize of $1,000.  

The Homiens Art Prize

The Homiens Art Prize is an international, non-acquisitive art prize (valued at $24,000 annually) open to all artists and art forms. The Prize offers egalitarian, accessible, and democratic support for artists, awarded every two months.
