Call for Applications: Artist's residencies, the British School at Rome

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: ARTISTS' RESIDENCIES IN ROME

Abbey Awards offer all expenses paid residencies in excellent modern studios at the British School at Rome in 2019/20 for artists, predominantly painters in the expanded field, whose work shows exceptional merit and promise. The 9 month Scholarship is awarded to an early-career artist and carries a monthly stipend of £800.  The 3 month Fellowships, with monthly stipends of £1200, are offered to mid-career artists.

2019 Byrdcliffe Residencies

Byrdcliffe Artist residencies offer uninterrupted time and space for artists or all disciplines to work in a creative community on our 250-acre Catskill mountain historic campus just two hours north of NYC. Writers, musicians, and visual artists are all encouraged to apply -  supported disciplines include ceramics, weaving, darkroom/digital photography, video, painting, sculpture, musical performance and composition, fiction, nonfiction, and poetry among others. 

5 Month Seasonal Residencies and 1 Month Residencies are offered. 

Snehta Open Call - Artists Winter - Spring 2019

SNEHTA OPEN CALL - ARTISTS 
WINTER - SPRING 2019

Snehta wants to open its doors to twelve (12) contemporary art 
practitioners to live and work in Athens. Each residency block consisting of four artists will expand within the period of two months.

Residency blocks:

January-February
March - April
May - June

An Athens-based curator will work with each artist throughout their stay and support their research and the realisation of their exhibition. They will aim to knit a tight collaboration between the artists, themselves and the local scene and work towards an idea or concept which will result in an exhibition. The Snehta team will coordinate and monitor this collaboration throughout

As part of our Re-Imagine Europe programme, we would like to welcome a duo comprising a visual artist and music or sound artist/practitioner (e.g. a DJ, music producer, sound artist, composer, performer, sound practitioner, or musician) to take part in a two week residency at Lighthouse in Brighton. The residencies are an opportunity for artists, practitioners, producers and technologists to expand their practice and research and develop new ideas and methodologies.
