During this one day design workshop participants will explore the village of Fallow Cross through a series of practical exercises to gain an insight into Punchdrunk’s design practice in response to site and stories. Participants will discover how Punchdrunk’s design teams create epic, multisensory and detailed worlds and will be given the opportunity to transform spaces of their own. At each workshop, you'll get the chance to spend time with Punchdrunk creatives in our unique R&D space, the village of Fallow Cross. Set across an 11,000 square ft warehouse in Tottenham Hale, it's a unique environment and well worth a visit.

Book now for a Performance Practice Masterclass with Punchdrunk

This one day performance practice workshop will draw on elements of Punchdrunk’s core creative processes when devising in response to site. Working at Fallow Cross, the Punchdrunk village, the day will focus on physical practice delving into exercises which aim to develop the performer’s sensitivity to space and explore performance in relation to narrative and character. Through games, task-based improvisations, and creating journeys through a designed space, participants will gain an insight into Punchdrunk’s devising process. At each workshop, you'll get the chance to spend time with Punchdrunk creatives in our unique R&D space, the village of Fallow Cross. The painting intensive program will comprise of drawing and painting the figure from life, guest lecturers, a business of art course and gallery visits. Additionally, Dacia Gallery will host a group exhibition of the artwork you created during the workshop. The residency is open to all visual artists and will accommodate all levels of experience. Artists living in New York, national and international artists are invited to attend. A Residential Course for Collaborative Arts Practice in Góis, Portugal
August 1-12, 2018

An intensive residential course bringing together visual artists and musicians to work collaboratively over ten days, creating new works combining photography, moving image, music, and sound art.

Organic Sequence Workshop

(incorporating physical, ensemble and action techniques)

Nicolette Kay,  Artistic Director New Shoes Theatre,  will run the workshop.

The workshop is inspired by the method of Stanislavski and Eastern European theatre. The outcome achieves a physical and psychological connection between actors, which can create a valuable system of communication, focussing on impulse. All aspects of the technique can be utilised in future text and physical work.

The technique provides the opportunity for actors to extend their dynamic range.

The workshop will run from 30th July – 3rd August, 10am-4pm near Lambeth Bridge in a popup space which is why we are only charging £100 for the week!

The workshop will be very physical and loose clothing is required.
