Christine Sloan Stoddard is a Salvadoran-American author, artist, and film/theatre professional who lives in Brooklyn. Her books include Force Fed, Desert Fox by the Sea, Belladonna Magic, Water for the Cactus Woman, and other titles. She co-edited Her Plumage, an anthology by Quail Bell Magazine, her literary journal, with Gretchen Gales. She has presented work at the Kennedy Center, the New York Transit Museum, Annmarie Sculpture Garden, FiveMyles Gallery, the Brooklyn Public Library, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, and elsewhere. She is a 2020 Table Work Press playwriting competition winner and Visible Poetry Project filmmaker, as well as this year's DC Arts Center curatorial fellow. Currently, she is the artist-in-residence at HeartShare Human Services of New York. Her debut novelette, Naomi & The Reckoning, will be released from Finishing Line Press in June 2020. Christine is a graduate of VCUarts and The City College of New York-CUNY.
