My name is Mira Argun. I am a Fine Art Photographer, Trainer and Mentor based in Turkey. I am half Bosnian, half Abkhazian. I was born and grew up in an ancient neighborhood in Istanbul, spending a lot of my free time outdoors in mystic backyards by the sea side. In addition to my bachelor’s degree in economics and subsequent professional career in international trade, I have been dealing with photography since 1999. I completed Harvard Digital Photography Class and studied with photographer, Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Bilge Satkin. I conducted various photography projects including internationally award-winning ones. My limited-edition fine art prints are featured in private and public collections as well as international online platforms. I am currently giving seminars, workshops and mentorship in my profession with "photography for mindfulness" motto.

Two of my fine art photographs are about a female poet. Having met her short time ago, I had a desire to listen to her to help manage her distress and take her photos. It was a strange time for her about her recent loss.

From a poem she has written: I keep you here fly where you have to / I am in a corridor between existence and non-existence / I sit I have no legs / I count my fingers light is coming from outside / I got used to darkness but I cannot get used to you not being around / I am afraid, afraid of forgetting you / I can hear my thoughts it’s like a river / I say: I guess they have forgotten me here / Doesn’t matter it’s just that time doesn’t pass / Days pass, weeks, months... nothing changes / I am in a dead space / I have no legs / Fly my love fly away / I have no idea why I still breathe.
It was a strange time for her about loss, regret, disappointment and not being able to let go. Life had never been easy for her. She was creating her own destiny regardless of normality and obligations. Having lived in extremes, she had both roses and thorns.
