Job description:

We are seeking a polished, experienced Gallery Sales Associate to represent CULTERRA, connect with visitors, and drive art sales.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and create a welcoming and professional environment in the gallery
• Present available works and educate visitors about the artist, process, and editions
• Guide clients through the purchasing process, from consultation to closing sales
• Proactively identify and cultivate new leads, including interior designers, collectors, and trade partners
• Follow up with potential buyers, maintain collector relationships, and manage CRM notes
• Maintain the appearance of the gallery and ensure artwork is displayed beautifully
• Support gallery events such as openings, private dinners, and collector receptions
• Work independently to manage the gallery during shifts, including weekends and some evenings

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience selling fine art in a gallery setting (may consider candidates with experience in luxury goods, or high-end design products)
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Self starter & personable
• Excellent communication and client engagement skills
• Professional, polished presence and ability to connect with collectors and designers
• Passion for art and ability to speak knowledgeably about fine art photography
• Organized, timely, reliable, and comfortable working independently

Schedule and Compensation

• Wednesday - Sunday, 11am -6pm. Infrequent additional evening availability required
• Competitive hourly rate plus commission on sales
• Opportunity to represent a growing fine art brand and work in a beautiful, inspiring gallery space in Laguna Beach, CA

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Work Location: In person, Laguna Beach, CA
