About COLLECTIBLE

COLLECTIBLE, the fair dedicated exclusively to 21st century contemporary collectible design, is looking for an intern to start as soon as possible. Considering the circumstances, remote working is possible.

COLLECTIBLE will hold its 4th edition from 20 to 22 Mai 2022 at Tour & Taxis in Brussels. Conceived as a unifying platform and an exclusive meeting point in the heart of Europe, COLLECTIBLE brings together renowned international galleries and independent designers, all at the forefront of creativity, selected by a committee composed of distinguished figures from the world of design.

About the available position 

COLLECTIBLE is looking for an intern interested in learning all aspects of team management and the organisation and coordination of an international cultural event. The intern in this position should expect to learn how to take a project from conception to achievement, and will finish this internship ready to enter any cultural or event company with excellent practical skills.
The position of Executive Assistant is multifaceted and involves a lot of personal initiative. The role is of a managerial level and involves the responsible for leading the team and the relations with our exhibitors. It is essential that applicants to this position have strong communication skills, demonstrate reactivity, flexibility and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details.
 
Duties & Responsibilities

  • General Management of fair, responsible for a good run of the show
  • Main contact point with participants and main partners
  • General team management; Oversee timelines and ensure all the different members of COLLECTIBLE staff are delivering their tasks according to our schedules, workflow and deadlines
  • Lead team and cross-department meetings on a regular basis
  • Ensure each team member is supported and have weekly feedback
  • Appoint and manage temporary staff
  • Oversee budget and administration
     

Profile and Skill

  • Enthusiastic about design, art, and architecture
  • Serious & punctual
  • Highly-organised and the ability to prioritise and distribute competing tasks.
  • Able to work in a team, even with distances
  • Capable of managing a team with many different responsibilities and needs
  • Good knowledge of the following programs InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Excel
  • Capable to run an event and resist to stress, must be able to find solution to problems while keeping calm
  • Proven ability to multitask many different responsibilities and collaborate with a wide range of teams in order to oversee an event.
  • Representativeness and excellent communication skills.
  • English and French is a must, and Dutch a plus

Timing 

  • Looking for an internship for min. 3 months (6 months is preferred)
  • From 01 February to 27 of June 2022. (holidays possible, beginning and end of the internship need to be discussed). 
  • 3days /week minimum, full-time preferred.  Full-time obligatory from the 1st of April. 
  • Teleworking is possible.
