Communication and Events Intern

Job Description:

For university students only!

As a Communication and Events Intern at NAHR, you will be responsible for assisting the Communications Manager in creating communications materials, such as press releases, texts for our website, social media posts, marketing emails, and other communication content and strategy design for NAHR events. Schedule and duration of internship to discuss according to student availability. 

• This Internship is REMOTE, however, you can join us in person at our location in Italy in June-July if agreed.

• This is a non-paid position. Please check if you are eligible for an Erasmus+ traineeship grant before applying.

• Advanced English is required.

The Organisation:

Nature, Art & Habitat Residency, An ECO-Laboratory of Multidisciplinary Practice (NAHR), aims to unfold and display a sensitive type of culture that relates to nature as a source of inspiration. Its main efforts are directed at the organization of interdisciplinary art residencies and workshop programmes surrounding the selected nature-related topic of the year in Val Taleggio, North Italy, in the summer and, since 2021, also in Santa Ynez, California, in spring and fall.

Responsibilities

• Write and review communications materials (press releases, programme leaflets ...) and check the content for grammatical and stylistic errors.

• Manage the social media accounts and create engaging content.

• Propose new communication ideas and ways in which to organisation could improve.

• Help find participants in our event and increase our outreach and impact in our local and global community.

• Join weekly internal Zoom meetings.

Requirements

• Education: University student or graduate of a relevant field (Communications, Journalism, Fine Arts, Graphic Design, etc).

• Competitive writing and communication skills in English required. Italian is valuable but not essential.

• Familiarity with basic Office packages (word, excel, PowerPoint), Drive and Gmail.

• Capacity for graphic design (preferably with Adobe).

• Knowledge of utilizing social media platforms for business. (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work in a collaborative environment

• Proactive, imaginative, and able to develop and propose their ideas to better the communications strategy of the organization.
