The Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch is looking for inspiring youth theatre tutor/s to join our team, co-leading one or more sessions across our
QYouth programme:

 Step 1+ 2 - ages 6-11, Saturdays 9am-2:45pm
 Step 3 +QYC - ages 11-18, Wednesdays 5-9:30pm

 to plan and deliver fun, exciting and inspirational sessions relevant to the group’s focus area, age and ability
 share responsibility for weekly planning and monitoring as well as communicating effectively with the Learning and Participation Department to clarify the aims and content of sessions
 to attend tutor and production meetings as required
 to be available all day on performance dates to lead the group and support the production
 to be aware of, to adhere to and actively uphold the Theatre’s Safeguarding and Child Protection policies

 have a passion for youth theatre work, demonstrating a track record with youth theatre or participatory arts projects
 have experience of directing or devising youth theatre productions
 have a strong interest in ensemble work, and an ability to work with participants of differing ages, interests and needs
 be able to respond imaginatively to the room, switching easily between play-based activities, devised and scripted formats
 Knowledge and experience of working in Outer East London/Essex
