Job Title: Visual Novel Proofreader

We are looking for native English speakers to proofread a visual novel set in a Faustian-style dark academia story in the UK. Your primary task will be to directly edit the existing English text to ensure it reads naturally and aligns with the character profiles.

Job Responsibilities:

·Proofread and edit the provided English text, ensuring it feels natural to native speakers.

·Adjust character dialogue based on character profile cards to reflect their personality and background.

·You will need to proofread approximately 30,000 words of text.

Requirements:

·Native English speaker with a strong understanding of British culture and language.

·Basic computer skills, able to handle text files and communication tools.

·Familiarity with Goethe's Faust or Thomas Mann's Doctor Faustus, or at least know the story (not mandatory).

·Experience playing any visual novel (not mandatory).

·Familiarity with using VSCode (not mandatory).

I will send you a short sample (around 3,000 words) for a trial proofreading. If everything goes well, I will provide a larger section of about 30,000 words to proofread, which should be completed within two weeks.
