Based in Hyde we specialise in event and prop design, production & installation. Over the last 15 years we have run our own events which has given us the knowledge and know-how of how events work and what they need, in order to run efficiently and avoid the headaches that come with production.
From club and festival décor to restaurant design and brand activations we have gone from strength to strength to become one of the biggest UK décor and prop installation companies.
Overview
We are looking for an experienced Production / Construction Manager to plan, execute and supervise projects. To support our design and construction teams on delivering the best work for our clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete timeline of a product from the initial design, through costing, construction and finally finished product
- Managing the item flow on our project management system (Asana experience desirable)
- Liaising with design and construction to create and confirm technical drawings
- Complete item and project pre-costings
- Track costings of all project items throughout the build stage, ensuring the finished product comes within budget
- Identifying any item over spends and raising these with upper management
- Adding and updating items on our inventory system (knowledge of Current RMS desirable)
- Managing item purchases, ensuring timely delivery within schedule
- Working with warehouse coordinator to manage the transport of products between warehouses
- Ensuring all items built have a corresponding manual (design create manuals)
- Research contractors and suppliers, keeping these up to date In our database
- Liaise with contractors to get better prices and identify better ways of making items
- Manage any construction requests that come from sales
- Allocating work schedules, ensuring team adhere to these in order to get the projects finalised in time
- Acting as first point of contact for all construction questions
- Managing team timesheets to ensure all team are working productively Quality control all items ensuring they adhere to our standard
- Working with design and providing advise on how items should be built
- Must have experience in scenic, model making, joinery, sculpting, or something similar in the creative field
Skills and Experience:
- Working knowledge of project management software tools such as Microsoft and Google applications (Asana software desirable)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and make hard decisions required to achieve project objectives
- Creative Knowledge (essential)
- Working knowledge of Construction, trade or Joinery Carpentry (essential)
- Relative industry experience Décor and Events advantageous (not essential)

Competitive Salary £30,000 - £45,000 (upon experience)
