We are looking for an Art Specialist who can build and execute the art program for our contemporary art gallery in Aspen, Colorado and other revenue channels as Online and Pop ups. If you are passionate about contemporary art and have a proven track record of curating successful exhibitions, sourcing commercially viable artists, building relationships in the art industry, and working collaboratively with a sales team, we encourage you to apply. As an Art Specialist at our gallery, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and knowledge while working with a dedicated team to promote contemporary art in Aspen and beyond.


  • Build the art program for all revenue channels. Starting with the gallery and online sales
  • Help building and executing the plan of art acquisition aligned with niche criteria
  • Curate and manage exhibitions & pop-ups, including planning, installation, and promotion
  • Work along with sales and other professionals in the industry to close deals and projects
  • Art education for team members
  • Stay on top of the contemporary art industry to bring new ideas to the table
  • Use existing and new connections with artists, museum curators, critics, and other relevant art industry professionals to build our brand recognition within the industry
  • Work with the marketing team to create and execute strategies to promote the gallery and its art sales across all revenue channels.
  • Travel as necessary to attend art events, exhibitions, and meet with artists and other art industry professionals.
  • Create Curatorial written material to provides context, interpretation, and information about the each exhibition and the artworks on display.


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Art History, Fine Arts, or related field with experience in the art world
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team, including marketing and sales professionals
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience with online art sales and e-commerce platforms preferred
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Deep Knowledge of contemporary art and its market with experience working building art programs and executing acquisitions plans
  • Sales driven, with a deep understanding and ability to articulate the motivations and preferences of our niche market when it comes to contemporary art


The compensation for this position is competitive and will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. If the project ends successfully, there may be opportunities for future projects.


The project is expected to commence in the next few weeks and last for approximately 3 months.
