BAM is seeking a Gift Processing Manager! The ideal candidate will manage the gift processing workflow, implement gift processing policies and procedures to ensure the successful recording, maintenance, receipting, and documenting of donations and grants. In addition, oversee for the day-to-day coding, processing, receipting, and record-keeping of gifts pledged or received for the Advancement team and work with gift officers and finance to process contributions and ensure acknowledgments and receipts for all gifts are sent out accurately.

 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Oversees the processing of gifts, pledges, payments, account adjustments, and fiscal year-end reconciliations including Automatic Renewal Program (ARP) and Credit Card billing.
  • Responsible for accurate daily and monthly reporting, including projections and cash flow reports, acknowledgment letter reports for “Local Lane”, and other analytics tools, and own process improvements as needed
  • Assist in the month and year-end reconciliation for gift processing on behalf of the
  • Advancement team in collaboration with Finance
  • Oversees daily processes to support transaction information flow from the fundraising system to the accounting system
  • Assists in researching gift and pledge relation information
  • Provides available backup documentation for Local & Express Lanes to Advancement colleagues to facilitate processing (e.g. wire statements, check scans)
  • Supports Associate Director, Growth Operations in OneDrive management and organization
  • Creates donor invoices when requested
  • Provide assistance and guidance to staff regarding the gift and pledge process
  • Revise and update standard operating procedures and data hygiene standards as needed
  • Works closely with Finance to reconcile gift and pledge transactions
  • Collaborate with the Advancement and Growth Operations teams to successfully process all private donations
  • Oversees the management of data in CRM including the creation and maintenance of donor accounts, setting up fundraising campaigns and appeals, acknowledgement rules each Fiscal Year
  • Performs other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in relevant field and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management and/or data stewardship in marketing, fundraising, or related industries
  • Experience with Tessitura or other donation CRM software preferred
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and experience with financial software applications a plus
  • Have an interest in performing arts, cinema, and arts administration

  • Ability to edit and check the work of others, and work with large sums of money in a high-volume gift processing environment is critical
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Microsoft Suites and data visualization tools

Compensation: The salary for this position is $68,000 per year. This role is represented by Local 2110 and will be paid in accordance with the BAM/UAW Local 2110 Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is full-time, exempt, and eligible for benefits.
