POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Branding & Creative Coordinator to join our small but mighty in-house design team. The mid- to senior-level designer will support the Firm’s business development efforts through collaboration on global branding, marketing and communications initiatives for both internal and external audiences with a focus on quality, creativity and responsiveness.

The ideal candidate will be an adept and proactive team player with strong graphic design, production and problem solving skills to create engaging marketing materials that align with Kirkland’s corporate aesthetic, from concept to completion. The designer should understand how the Firm’s brand strategy plays into the global marketing ecosystem and emerging design/marketing trends.

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES

1. Create engaging marketing materials including event collateral, videos, social media posts, website content, sponsorship ads, brochures, presentations and other media in collaboration with various cross-functional teams within the Firm.
2. Know our brand guidelines inside and out —be a key brand evangelist
3. Help maintain the Firm’s global templates and guidelines
4. Help manage the digital asset management library and licensing
5. Coordinate on special requests with the Document Services team

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education, Work Experience, Skills:
• A B.A. or B.F.A. in graphic design or related field, with coursework/experience in marketing/communications a plus
• 3-5 years of agency or in-house experience
• Excellent client service orientation with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding of composition, balance, typography and color theory and the ability to explain these concepts to stakeholders
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects
• Strict attention to detail — proofreading skills required
• Must include link to portfolio in resume/application

Technologies/Software:
• REQUIRED: Highly proficient in Adobe CC (specifically Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) and not shy about translating designs into PowerPoint for our general users
• Experience with audio and video editing (After Effects, Premiere Pro), and digital asset management preferred
• Experience working in an email marketing platform preferred
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS and responsive design preferred
• Working knowledge of appropriate image quality, resolution and color mode according to intended project usage preferred

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Candidate should be comfortable in a Windows environment and working with Microsoft Office.

This role is currently WFH with a long-term plan for in-person/hybrid work.
